From the cutting table
Before a new outfit reaches Margot, it begins at the cutting table. I make and remake each toile in calico, adjusting tiny seams, proportions and details until the design sits just as I imagined it. Sometimes this process works almost immediately; sometimes it can take hours or even days, depending on the design.
Design note: Calico can be written or drawn on, which is really useful for marking adjustments.
Margotの新しい服は、まずカッティングテーブルから始まります。私はキャリコでトワルを作り、何度も作り直しながら、小さな縫い目やプロポーション、ディテールを調整し、思い描いた通りのデザインに仕上げていきます。すぐに形が決まることもあれば、デザインによっては何時間も、時には何日もかかることもあります。
デザインノート：キャリコには直接文字を書いたり線を描いたりできるので、修正箇所を書き込むのにとても便利です。
