Where Margot 21 Began
Margot began with a drawing.
I drew the very first Margot for my two-year-old niece’s nursery. She wasn’t intended to become a doll, or the beginning of Studio Margonette. She was simply a little character I created for someone I loved.
But Margot stayed with me.
Over time she changed and grew, eventually becoming Margot 21 — a 1/6 scale fashion doll and the beginning of a much larger doll world.
Margotは、一枚の絵から始まりました。
初めてMargotを描いたのは、2歳の姪の子ども部屋のためでした。そのときは、人形になることも、Studio Margonetteの始まりになることも考えていませんでした。ただ、大切な人のために生み出した、小さな女の子のキャラクターでした。
でも、Margotはずっと私の中に残っていました。
時とともに少しずつ変わり、成長し、やがて1/6スケールのファッションドール「Margot 21」へ。そして、そこからもっと大きなドールの世界が始まりました。

Margot 21 was designed with fashion in mind. Her proportions were carefully developed to reflect a more realistic fashion body shape, allowing fabrics, silhouettes and details to translate beautifully at 1/6 scale — from a simple skirt or blouse to a carefully constructed 1950s dress.
She is a fashion time-travelling mannequin, and her first port of call on the fashion timeline is the glamorous decade of the 1950s.
She is also a doll to dress, sew for, experiment with and make your own. We really want to see what you make. No matter how big or small, simple or ornate, Margot is your blank canvas to fill with whatever you create.
